Holly Stephens is an associate attorney in McArthur Law Firm’s Atlanta office, where she represents individuals and families in complex personal injury and wrongful death matters involving medical negligence, motor vehicle collisions, and trucking accidents.  With extensive courtroom experience and a passion for advocacy, Holly brings both legal expertise and compassionate client care to every case she handles.

Originally from Macon, Georgia, Holly earned her undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2016.  Prior to attending law school, she spent two years working in the Texas State Senate, where she developed a strong foundation in public service, policy analysis, and advocacy.

Holly received her Juris Doctor from the University of Georgia School of Law in 2021.  While in law school, she built a solid litigation foundation through hands-on experience with the Jane W. Wilson Family Justice Clinic and the Criminal Defense Practicum.  She also gained valuable insight into the judicial process through internships with judges in the Western Judicial Circuit Superior Court, the Court of Appeals of Georgia, and the United States District Court for the Middle District of Georgia.

Following graduation, Holly served as an Assistant Public Defender in Brunswick, Georgia, representing hundreds of clients in criminal cases.  This role provided her with extensive trial experience and sharpened her ability to advocate effectively under pressure, while reinforcing her commitment to guiding clients through some of the most difficult moments of their lives with clarity and care.

Holly’s dedication to the legal profession has earned early recognition, including being named a Super Lawyers Rising Star for 2025 and receiving the State Bar of Georgia Young Lawyers Division’s Award for Outstanding Service to the Profession for the 2024–2025 bar year.

She is actively involved in the legal community and currently serves as Co-Chair of the State Bar of Georgia Young Lawyers Division Litigation Committee for the 2024–2025 and 2025–2026 terms.  Holly is also a graduate of the State Bar of Georgia Young Lawyers Division Leadership Academy and is participating in the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association LEAD (“Leadership Education & Advanced Direction”) Program as of July 2025.  She is a member of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association, Atlanta Bar Association, and American Bar Association.

Holly lives in Atlanta and enjoys playing tennis and pickleball, walking her dog, exploring the city, and cheering on the Tar Heels and Bulldogs!
