Holly Stephens is an associate attorney in McArthur Law Firm’s Atlanta office, where she focuses on complex personal injury and wrongful death cases involving medical negligence, premises liability, and motor vehicle and trucking accidents.  With extensive courtroom experience and a passion for advocacy, Holly brings both legal expertise and compassionate client care to every case she handles.

Originally from Macon, Georgia, Holly earned her undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2016.  Before pursuing law, she gained valuable public service experience working in the Texas State Senate for two years, developing skills in policy analysis and public advocacy.

Holly obtained her law degree from the University of Georgia School of Law in 2021, where she built a strong foundation in litigation through practical experience.  During law school, she honed her advocacy skills through internships with the Jane W. Wilson Family Justice Clinic and the Criminal Defense Practicum.  She also gained valuable judicial perspective through internships with judges on the Western Judicial Circuit Superior Court, the Court of Appeals of Georgia, and the Middle District of Georgia.

Following law school graduation, Holly served as an Assistant Public Defender in Brunswick, Georgia, where she represented hundreds of clients facing criminal charges.  This experience provided her with extensive trial experience and reinforced her commitment to providing vigorous advocacy and compassionate support to clients during challenging times.  Her work as a public defender strengthened her courtroom skills and deepened her understanding of the justice system from multiple perspectives.

Holly’s dedication to excellence has earned early recognition in her legal career, including being named a Super Lawyers Rising Star for 2025 and receiving the State Bar of Georgia Young Lawyers Division’s Award for Outstanding Service to the Profession for the 2024-2025 bar year.

Her leadership within the legal community is evident through her role as Co-Chair of the Young Lawyers Division Litigation Committee for the State Bar of Georgia’s 2024-2025 and 2025-2026 terms.  She is also a 2024 graduate of the State Bar of Georgia Young Lawyers Division’s Leadership Academy and is currently participating in the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association LEAD (“Leadership Education & Advanced Direction”) Program as of July 2025.  She maintains active membership in the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association, Atlanta Bar Association, and American Bar Association.
